only reason I suggested his option 3 was there was a poster saying there was issues with rev 3 boards.. Ive got the same board but sure its older.

Ive just replaced the H80i with a phanteks cooler on my 4690k and its running cooler on realbench and I now have piece of mind of no leaks

Got the 212 back on and found some more paste. Ran it @4Ghz and the highest temp it hit was 55C in IBT banged it up to 4.4Ghz highest temp it hit was 59C

Arctic Cooling. Akase-AK450. Tuniq-TX1. The paste I'm using now is Cooler Master But its all old stuff so i don't know if it goes off

What Temps are you getting @4.4Ghz with that cooler ?

Something is not right if it cannot save the voltaged.

If your volts are on auto, they must be just jumping about and could be going upto 1.5volts.

Can you download hwifo64 and run ibt, so i can see if the volts are jumping around, i will post a picture in a minute of what i want you to show me.

What Temps are you getting @4.4Ghz with that cooler ?.

the H80i used to keep the 8350 under 55c at 4.4ghz running IBT I never tried realbench.

the 4690k @ 4.5Ghz using the H80i running realbench would go to 68c the Phanteks has it running at 44c on its highest core running realbench
