FX57 Worth ?

Sorry for jumping in here but in all honesty, if SHANE thinks the CPU does what he wants it to do and feels he paid a fair price then thats ok, surely?

Yes, dual core is great fun and is blisteringly quick, but single core isn't really as 'old-hat' as we make it out to be.

Lets look at it this way, £325 for a 2.8ghz CPU which will probably breeze upto 3 - 3.2ghz. In all honesty, i'd pay that.

But hay, if you wanna frym him fell free. But I don't think he made a stupid decision.
 
dont think anyone has it in for you mate. you posted on here asking for advice on a possible purchase and you got it.

the fact is a opteron 146 will easily clock to the same speed as the chip you are looking at getting and beyond. and its really easy to do it. I know as i got one a couple of weeks ago and its sat at 2.75gig now and im a overclocking noob.

but if you like the idea of havin ga FX57 and wish to wave your willy around to all concerned then snap it up and enjoy
