When I tried the demo the graphics looked just as good as the real game

UT3 1680x1050 4xAA all high 30-60+.

The only problem with UT3 is <40 is unplayable so I just turn off AA, the Unreal 3 engine feels crap at 40 and lower, I can barely stand dipping to 45 odd on BioShock.

I thought that but its not bad now it never felt unplayable at 30fps, maybe it never hit 30fps or maybe its just because I have a Razer Krait mouse now.

Got a Diamondback here and still think it sucks at anything below 40.

Must be these 169.28 drivers because 40fps never felt choppy like it used to for me.

is there an AA option on unreal 3? Or are you forcing it through drivers?

Forced, there is no AA on UE3.

I've no idea who it may interest but on my mate's pc with Athlon 64 3000, 1GB DDR1 & 128mb geforce 6600gt, it was playable on low at 1024*768 very smooth. Of course you'd expect that because we compromised all details for smoothness & were playing at low res, but it's still fun.

They'll be slower than the FX5900 (which is about Geforce 6200 level in DX9 games).
