Poor man's or not, it looks good to me and doesn't affect performance.

That depends on the game and how much resources the game is using in CPU and GPU terms already.
I used it on NFS Hot Pursuit and the hit was noticeable and most likely because i was running it on a single gpu at 2560x1600 and the GPU was already at 100% usage or near abouts even before i used FXAA.
I then tried MLAA and it had the same hit.
In games like Track mania Canyon the built in FXAA looks good.
Afaik fxaa is using the cpu not the gpu. Which is why it doesn't impact performance as much or so i think i read.
True, but the games I play are primarily STALKER and Mass Effect. Two games that work with FXAA very well![]()
