My GSkill's can run at 1100mhz so just a pip over PC2-8500 so I would say just go for the PC2-8000 stuff.
Tbh your FSB and MCH voltages are a tad high. Neither should need to be above +0.1v at that CPU speed.
Are you still limited to 375mhz when running 1:1? If so then up your CPU voltage.
Yup some people can get 4ghz easy but min goes to 2.16 stable 24/7 but at 3.2 it's 50/50 stability wise even though temps remain unchanged. I bet your Q6600 is similar.
In retrospect though my old Q6600 the B3 would only clock to 2.5GHz lol.
You should have a multi on your board to run the ram at 4:5.
FSB 400/4 = 100
MEM 100 * 5 = 500
500 * 2 = 1000Mhz DDR
This is where I get confused
My ram is at 1:1 (800mhz shown in the bios) which is shown as 2.0 in the bios, then theres 2.50 then 2.60 etc etc
I'm assuming that the RAM mhz it's shown as in the bios isn't that actual speed? Or is it...
Sorry to be a numpty
