When he says price is going to be crazy - bare in mind this is launching at 800 USD, just how crazy are we expecting? Any more than £599 and we are getting well and truly ripped off. Straight USD to GBP + VAT gives ~£564 at present.

Then add shipping and the fact only 20 units will be avaliable, we're probably looking at a good £750. Way too much for me, was really looking forward to getting the swift as well. Once my monitor fund has filled back up i'll get a 4k monitor.

hey guys, anyone know what the colours are like on the £180 model?
I tried a BenQ 144Hz monitor, but the colours looked hella grey and I returned it..
That AOC model for £180 looks like a real bargain, if the colours are passable.

There is still an excuse and that one is I like IPS and 1440p more than anything else

I'm really tempted by that £180 TN panel. No idea why people rag on 'em so much, I have a Iiyama ProLite E2710HDS at the moment and to colours and viewing angles are really good. Would like to see a review of it 1st though.

I think a lot of the hate is misplaced and based on the older TN panels.
Don't get me wrong, TN does have washed out colours compared to IPS and the viewing angles are worse, but who in gods name games under the desk or at the side of the screen?
Most 'normal' people game head on to their screen, everything is fine there

Yeah that's what I was wondering to haha. I'll be keeping my eye out on this, would ideally like a 24" 120Hz for £150 or less though.

Not really interested until they can have Lightboost and Gsync enabled at the same time, 1440p is probably most i'd go for demanding games anyway.
Sounds like nVidia and their GK110 chip!

Agreed, 150+ pounds for a gsync chip is not my cup of tea.
I would imagine that the prices will drop to more reasonable levels once the "ooooh new and shiny" tax starts to wear off. I would hope that once more models from different manufactures start to be released the prices will drop into the £250 - £300 region.
