** G-SYNC IS NEARLY HERE & MANY NEW MONITORS FROM AOC!! **

So GSync + green trim = £180?

£160 difference if you compare it to the G2460PQU which has the same height adjustable/rotatable stand instead of the G2460FQ which doesn't. Still that's a big price jump, I'm going to be holding off until a few more gsync monitors are released and the price comes down a bit I think.

I dont think it'll come down as nvidia doesn't know the pricing of the adaptive refresh technology in the new VESA standard yet compared to current monitors. Due to that, they'll charge what they like until thats released, regardless of branding -.-

Like I said earlier though, I wouldn't go back to a monitor that doesn't have the technology inside it. Gsync is a game changer for me and the IQ difference in any game is staggering.

Nice to hear that. Quite often things can placebo but after the initial enthusiasm has died down, another look and that placebo has gone and remorse has taken over. I am still itching to try one.

Its comments like this that ease the pain of waiting over 6 months to try it out, knowing it will most likely be well worth it in the end :)

Though any heavy price gauging on the swift I'll be sticking to 1080 with one eye on surround at a later date once its supported :)

Nice words James, I'm quite surprised at people moaning about the cost, your monitor is the thing you constantly look at whilst using your PC and no matter how high you put the settings it's only ever as good as the screen can display. People pay over £200 for a GPU upgrade that nets them 5-10fps sometimes....

No remorse here at all. Infact, its one of the best upgrades I've ever done lol. I'm no fanboy by any stretch, but this technology is really nice. It'll be good when adaptive refresh is launched as everyone will get to enjoy the same level of IQ that I've had for the last 2 months. If you play something like BF4 with vsync off and then turn gsync on, you'll think theres something wrong with your eyes as the image is absolutely still, whilst having the input lag level of vsync off. Tear free gaming ftw!

I think its because people expect a monitor to last 3+ years, whilst GPU's get switched about as much as a teenagers underwear lol. What I want to know with these monitors is what the UI looks like, as mine has an nvidia interface, with absolutely no trace of Asus left on any menu screen. The monitor even shows up in windows as "nvidia gysnc enabled monitor" instead of Asus 24Q etc.
