G11 Layout Problem

I have a G11 keyboard, and it states on the box that it is UK layout but I have a few problems.
Some of the symbols etc. are in different places which is fine, but they dont come out as they are marked on the keyboard.

Example:
The @ sign is now Shift+2, and has swapped places with the " sign, but to in terms of actual keystrokes, Shift+2 produces the " sign (as if it were a standard keyboard).

I could appreciate it if someone was able to help me out with either a setting that needs to be changed or something.

Thanks

You need to go to your keyboard options in windows and change it to English (UK) rather than English (US), I think.

edit, did a quick google. Its found in Control Panel > Regional & Language Options.

It can be fiddly. make sure UK is the only option there. It's software not hardware issue. RMA probably wouldn't help.

Sometimes I select UK but elsewhere it'll remain US default. In the control panel in language make sure everywher eis UK and remove US.

This is a software issue. Returning the keyboard will just be a waste of time.

If you've installed Logitech software that could be misconfigured too.

Yep its a windows issue rather then a hardware issue. I am using my G11 fine. As stated, it sounds like you have it set to US rather then UK. Just search on google something like "change keyboard from US to UK windows 7" and you should find results.

As far as I could make out, on the actual keyboard, the key above the two is an @ sign but if you press (shift+2) you get a " sign?

This means you probably have an American layout keyboard with the setting English UK.

Options are:
Deal with it, if you touch-type you won't look at the keys anyway
Get used to pressing the '/" key for '/@ and vice versa
Change the layout to English US and get used to pressing @ and " the wrong way around. Might take a while and will be weird when you next get a UK keyboard though (Unless I read wrong and you have already tried this)

If it really bothers you you can send the product back for a refund (or replacement if this was a one-off). You were advertised a UK layout so it should be a UK layout.

EDIT: And try new drivers before sending it back

Logitech's software seems to have no options regarding language.

I have the latest drivers already installed, I dont think they have released new ones for years anyway.

As it happens I can touch type so its not that big of a deal.
And if I did manage to change it, everytime I was using another keyboard I would be typing the wrong symbols due to being used to an American layout.

I think I will return it to get a refund and then by the Razer Arctosa instead.
