Hey All,
I have stumbled across a big problem. I recently installed Total War Rome, to refresh myself for the new Total war thats coming out, and since I have installed that, my G15 isnt working.
When I say not working, the backlight is on, the LCD is responsive, the G keys works, the MR button works and so does the M1, M2 and M3 buttons. However, the letters, punctuation and numbers do not. There is no response from any of the apps I have tried to get the keyboard to work in.
It recognises a ps2 keyboard, and from that I have been able to access the BIOS. USB support for keyboards is enabled in there.
I have checked device manager, and under Keyboards it shows 4 Keyboards (since i installed the ps2 one as well, without that plugged in, it shows 3), none of which say the G15. I have tried un-installed all the keyboards there, but for some reason it says its done it, but they still appear.
Also checking in device manager, shows an error with Logitech GamePanel Devices, under vista slide show??? I have tried re-installing that but still says not working. I'm not sure whether this is connected to the keyboard not working, as I think thats the GamePanel is to do with the LCD display on the keyboard, in which case because the G15 isnt working its probably detecting an error with the Gamepanel app.
I have also gone into all the keyboards it shows and tried updating the drivers thru windows. I've also run search for new hardware, and now I'm at a loss.
I guess the next step would be for me to try and connect another USB keyboard to see if that works???
Oh and I have tried the G15 in different USB ports and other devices work of the same port as the G15 is connected to.
I'm running Vista 64bit.
Any one got any ideas, advice?
Cheers
