Gadget Show Live, anyone else going?

I find it a shame how the show has gone off the boil too. They dont just review things anymore. Deffo catching the Top Gear disease. As for Suzy Perry, not for me ta.

Six? Last time I watched it there was only three, Suzi, Jason and the old guy.

Why would you need 6 presenters for a programme that is on an hour a week...

It'll be somewhere on the Gadget show website, with all the other videos they've got on there.

It is funny watch if you can handle all the adverts and sponsorship videos you will be forced to look at before you find the right one.
 
I stopped watching this show ages ago when they stated an exercise bike which you attach your push bike to as one of there top 5 must haves.

That and they hardly ever review "affordable" gadgets anymore.
 
I've just come back.

Saw some games I wasn't suspect such as Portal 2, Dirt 3 and Child of Eden. Then I checked out Duke Nukem (free t-shirt!!!), Mortal Kombat and Gears 3. Wasn't impressed by many gadgets there but some very tasty PC's about, Managed to get 1st place (as I was leaving) on the nVidea time trail challenge in NFS:Shift. Hopefully no one beats it as if I'm still top (probably unlikely) then I win a free tablet ^.^

I'll post some pics up if peeps are interested.
 
I don't get the hate for all the presenters

I think Jason Bradbury is brilliant, and whats with all the Suzi hate ? she's 41 for goodness sake. I think most women would be happy to look as good as she does at 41.

And pollyana is no different to any other presenter. I don't get why everybody is saying she can't present ?
 
They had a 'trade day' today, with free admission, and which I am sure was a lot quieter than the next few days will be. None of the TV show presenters were around though, which probably wasn't a bad thing!

It reminded me of of sort of a cross between the Ideal Home Show, the Motor Show, a photographic show, and a computer show!

Something for everyone really, plently of free drinks (hard and soft) and even some excellent break dancing on one stand... oh, and quite a few 'gadgets' also, including lots of 3D! ;)

Because she can't, her tech or should I say gadg :rolleyes: knowledge is rubbish.

She comments on how sound can be HD and the way she presents is really over the top, too enthusiastic with all the hand movements.

I'm sure the live convention will be good with all the technology on display, but the show is rubbish.

Yes I did, didn't play too much of Portal 2 as I'm saving it for when it's out next week but looked interesting and still had the portal feel which I was a little worried about with Portal scaling to a full on release. Duke Nukem is erm Duke Nukem as I remember it, senseless gun play and witty comments, it's the same demo they showed off a few months ago so it still looked pretty rough (bare in mind this is on 360) but I still enjoyed what I played. It isn't a super high end 10/10 AAA title but it looks like it will be fun for a play through for us old timers :p

I suggest people who have never played Duke Nukem to keep away as it probably won't tick any of your boxes. Tidy looking school girl Booth Babes and free t-shirt approved comments! Also had a talk with a few of the guys, the reasons it's delayed now ws due to not meeting Sony's requirements for the QA process so they are having to go through it again which has added another month to release.
 
Seen some good stuff on Twitter today from it, wish I was going!

Mods delete if needed but I've got 3 spare tickets because my girlfriend and mate who I bought tickets for months ago can't go now. They're for the theater as well so if anyone wants them my email's in trust. Otherwise its £75 down the pan :(
