LOL, I was thinking of this very make when I said most of what is sold on overclockers would fit the bill

Hehe we have to offer them for the cheap skates in the market, but we now only list the 650W version which is about on par with a decent 300W PSU so they tend to be OKish.

A truly good buy are the Sparkle 400W PSU's that OcUK sells for about £25 as those are a true 400W unit.

If you mean the 7900 GT for AGP our first shipment is expect in our warehouse this Friday, approx 600 units and you will have one from the first shipment.

Sales are going crazy because we have customers from USA, Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong going mad for these cards because they cannot get them on over there.

Yes that is pretty accurate. Only approx 1500 produced and OcUK has upto 1200 of them if we wish and 600 of those arrived on Friday, but we've already sold 250+ this is very popular card!!

Been working away this week and so only just got the benches done you asked about so….


With the CPU at stock (P4D 940) 3.2Ghz @ 200FSB


7800GS+ (stock 450/1250)

3D Mark 05 – 7615

7800GS+ (OC 554/1450)

3D Mark 05 – 8134


Then with the CPU O/C 3.8Ghz @ 238FSB


7800GS+ (stock 450/1250)

3D Mark 05 – 7889

7800GS+ (OC 554/1450)

3D Mark 05 – 9132

So only 250 points difference between stock 7800GS+ when at stock CPU clock.

O/C the 7800GS+ at CPU stock gains is 700 points.

But…. Once you O/C the CPU and so up the FSB and up the bandwidth with the O/C 7800GS+ I gain an extra 1500 points over stock CPU and GFX card

Thats quick once you start to open it up. In fact that is more or less as quick as the 7800 GTX 512MB cards that were like £500+VAT for PCI-Express when they came out......
