GAME ARE TAKING Wii PRE ORDERS GO GO GO

I went into my local GAME store today to preorder mine, im 7th on the list and the guy said there'll probably be a midnight launch party, the same as they had with the cube. Guess I'll be playing mine at 1 o'clock in the morning on launch day then :D

Does anyone know when/where component cables will be available for ordering?

Plus where can I get a component switch box? At the moment I have 2 inputs for my 360, PC, DVD player, PS2 and soon the Wii - its a chore to have to unplug them all.

That's cheating! :p

i think i might keep both game and gameplay pre-orders. Didn't expect the wii to fetch much on ebay, but it might the way things are looking

It's tempting, might order then cancel later if I change my mind.

Btw I though the Wii was going to be black? Looks a bit naff in white. :o

I hadnt taken much notice of the Wii and never looked at pictures of the control until i saw one in a catalogue the other day and my God does that look crap and hard to play with

How the hell is that Control that looks a bit like a TV remote supposed to Revolutionise gaming?
It just seems like a gimmick for the super lazy who want to hold a beer and drink with the over hand TBH.

Have you watched any videos of how it works at all? It can potentially be a gimmick in the long run, but the DS has proven that it wasn't just a gimmick to a lot of people, and I personally am hoping it's a lot more than a gimmick and a nice interesting alternative to the PS3 and 360.

Have a youtube search for some Wii stuff, I can't be bothered to find stuff at the moment as I'm off out :p sure there'll be some Wii fans out there with an array of stuff to attemp to change your view, though you may still just see it as a gimmick at the end. But it certainly has potential, especially with stuff like swordfighting etc, and multiplayer.

If anyone's interested, Game INSTORE are now doing pre-orders for £20 deposit and is for the console ONLY and not those bundles that are on their website.

@Zip: Seriously, watch one of the many videos, a few to note are:

http://www.wii.com/uk/
Shows some of the built in capabilities like web browsing etc.

The official trailer:

The Wii controller is a motion sensing device, that’s what makes it different form the other consoles.
