Game closing stores NOW.

this was their plan - go into admin, reduce number of stores, reopen with the more profitable ones intact.

I'm expecting some decent sales to reduce their stock holding and free up some cash.

In my town we have/had two Game stores and a Gamestation.
Three stores run by the same company in one town?!
A company that's now gone into Administration?

I can't possibly imagine what went wrong there...

I think I'm going in to my local store to attack & berate the lad who told me my store wasn't closing tuther week.

In reality I'll be going in & telling them all just how Gutted I am for them as they've been damn good to me over the years. :(

Lol, I have at least 5 GAME/Gamestation stores within 10 mins drive of where I live and none of them are on the list! no bargains to be had for me.

You realise stores closing and people losing their jobs is the opposite of socialism right?

You realize central banks controlling credit and creating recessions at will, bailing out corporations so they can maintain a monopoly is all the opposite of capitalism right? Marxism has created this environment. If you're not on the subsidised gravy train you're guna have a hell of a time running a big company now and in the future.

Looks like 2 of the 3 Games and Gamestations in Stevenage are closed. Not that I actually go there that often.

But it's something that should have happened years ago.

All Game's and Gamestation's gone from Norwich centre.

They've closed all 3? Are they just picking stores out of a hat?

they where closing unprofitable ones acording to the news.

Looks like all 3 Game Stores in Newcastle Are shutting, none left there.
One of the Metrocentre ones too, one left in red mall.

Why woudl they bother having sales? Surely they'll just transfer stock to the stores that are left open

I've got the Oxford Street store just around the corner from where I work, and it's supposedly still open, so I'm going to pop in there tomorrow on my lunch break and see if I can pick up some preowned Xbox 360 games for a few quid. Got Last Remnant from £2.97 last week at my local Surrey Quays but couldn't find other titles I was hoping to find (mainly RPGs).

Seems like crud management spending more than they could afford to expand now its all come down like a pack of cards. Seems such a waste all those new looking stores and fixtures and fittings going to waste. Feel for the staff as they wouldn't have known or have a say in the financial affairs but are the ones that suffer.
