Reading this article:

"40% of players completed Assassins Creed 2 Campaign"

Suprised me a little - upon reading the title, I thought it was a 'bad' news article - turns out 40% is good? GTA4 only had a 35% completion rate, many other games are a lot lower than that.

If I've forked out £25-30 for a game (or more, on consoles) I make damn well sure I'll get my moneys worth by at least completing it once??? At least blasting through the main campaign.

Last game I was really bothered about completing was FarCry. So much in fact, I completed it on every single difficulty level I loved it so much.

Got stuck on HL2.
Got bored of Crysis.
Numerous games I aim to complete are on hold.

BF2, BC2 and MOH have single player but who buys them for that? I didn't.

This thread makes me feel bad, simply because i have owned hundreds of games through the years and i can only ever remember completing one of them....Mini Ninja's :(

I just dont seem to be able to stay interested in a game for long enough to complete it.

+1
that's why i mostly play mmos/online fps

a lot of my past purchases I never finished, I just got bored rather fast. Amnesia Dark Descent, Fallout 3, COH, Bioshock 2, Stalker SOC, Batman AA.

Perhaps I shouldnt buy games anymore :(

I usually finish the main story of any game I buy - If a game has a lot of extras or side missions or whatever I might not bother to finish all of those though.

It is probably more that you are older you are now older and cba to play games that much.

When I was 12-19 I played games so much it was ridiculous!

cant believe someone gave farcry 1 a mention...i salute you. that game was soo amazing.

believe this...i didnt know multiplayer was free and available on that game LOL and when i found out...ohhh i was one of the best in that game i used to love it their multiplayer was the best i still havnt come across a game that i enjoyed playing as much as i did farcry monkeybay DM - actually fear mp CTF comes close

The last single player game I completed was Crysis and before that, Braid and Trine.

Crysis:Warhead, Fallout 3 and World of Goo are the three most recently played single player games I can remember that I didn't complete.

Single player games just don't grip me like they used to. Most of them are poor and usually not good enough to keep me interested until the end.

I liked the story in Crysis and it kept me involved enough to want to see it out. Braid was a really smart game and deserved to be completed even though it wasn't that easy and Trine was great although very short and pretty easy.

I don't really buy games any more, I just play competitive multiplayer games online (usually free ones such as Quake Live or League of Legends).

Never bought a game I didn't complete........ohhhh sorry there was one, WET....oh how I love it till I was falling out a plane, seem to remember there was some glitch with viewing angles that stopped me, I read about it and some folk said 1st time it was easy other had tried it 100s of times, just depended, I tried 100's before I got darksiders followed by my PS3 and GOW3....Wet has yet to be completed.

I must have completed nearly 10 games in my gaming lifetime - I currently must own 300+ if you include Steam and PS3 game...

Id be surprised if Ive downloaded/installed/started 40% of my games let alone finished them...
