Game Dev Tycoon piracy article

is this available to buy? couldnt seem to buy it from greenman gaming.

i did download gamebiz 2 which was mildly entertaining

wow thanks - downloading demo now :D was weird as im sure i was on that website and tried the download but it just gave me an IE error.

I remember accidentally inputting the wrong key into a command and conquer (I think it was that) then wondering why my guys kept spontaneously combusting within 2 mins of starting the campaign.

I'm tempted to check this game out now.

Some interesting points in this thread... It is clever, but I agree with the concerns that perhaps the "piracy statistics" though well-intentioned may be used out of context to reinforce some developers already stupid opinions and DRM tactics...

The problem is people have been downloading games illegally for so long that it's hard for them to even acknowledge that what they're doing might actually be harming the industry as a whole... I've been there myself - though I've not downloaded any games in that way for many years now, but the ways people justify it are just really sad... The most annoying argument by far is:

"Well if games weren't so expensive I'd buy them - how else am I meant to play them?"

IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD SOMETHING THEN SAVE UP FOR IT OR WAIT FOR IT TO DROP IN PRICE

Exactly. I'll hold my hands up and say I have pirated games in the past (many years ago now actually), but with the advent of places like Steam and Greenmangaming always doing sales, all you need to do is wait a couple of months after release, and you can get some excellent games for amazing prices. Look at Sleeping Dogs, one of my favourite games of last year - it was just on sale on Square Enix's website for £5 (and still is). If you can't afford that then how the hell did you afford the PC you want to play it on.
