Game Like COD, but realistic?

Hi,
Anyone know of a good online xbox game that is similar to call of duty, but where people actually die when they get shot. and where a knife has a shorter range than a gun.
getting quite bored of all the games that are out right now, it makes me think our army should carry sticks as they're more powerfull than a gun.
 
Realism doesn't neccessarily make for a good game, in fact it would make for an extremely dull game. Would you prefer you walking around at 1 mph until you bled to death if you got shot in the foot for example?

CoD has a hardcore mode where people die a lot faster if that's what you're looking for.
 
Got an old pc lying around? Pick up a copy of Operation Flashpoint and try that. It's about the most realistic infantry game there is.

I know they can't really make 100% realistic.
but, if you have a gun and a guy is infront of you with a knife.... He's going to die/go down.
it should be knife beats you if your back turns..... pistol beats knife.....uzi beats pistol... ect.
I'll have a look what i can pick battlefield up for. looks quite good.

Realism does make for a better game, Bushido Blade ever heard of that?

I like Half Life 2 deathmatch, because most of the time if your playing against good players its one hit kills. Its great fun just running around with the bow and pinning people to the walls.

It's funny because in this respect TF2 is a lot more realistic than CoD when it comes to knife combat :D
 
What's the new Operation Flashpoint like in terms of realism? Isn't that on the Xbox? Failing that, Bad Company, as suggested. There are properly realistic shooters (ArmA), but they're generally hiding on the PC.

Dragon Rising. I thought it was alright and it works well with a pad. I liked the SP.

For realism you'd need to be using a PC. Bad Company 2 on 360 though is less arcade than the last couple of CoD releases and it's a very good game online. Squad up with a couple of mates and you can have some really nice tactical games especially in hardcore mode. Just don't expect Project Reality or Arma levels of realism.
