Game Recording and editing software ?

shadow play is good but not as good quality as fraps when set up right. thing is fraps has very big files.

i personally use adobe premier.nice and simple with no bs.win movie maker no longer exists after recent updates on win 10.shame as its decent for simple videos.

Set up Fraps right? There isn’t much to configure. An 8 - 10 minute game of Quake Champions would likely end up with 18 - 20 odd GB.

Better with OBS.

Yikes! The difference is insane.
I've two files (Elite Dangerous at 1080p) for 44:47 length, 8.3gb in size for them both combined.
AMD Relive.

So people say, though I've not really noticed a too severe fps hit - however, it's fair to say I've not used it that much either.

That was what I read as well but I haven’t used my registered version of Fraps in many years since the mechanical hard drive days, that could have been 7 years ago. There still wasn’t many options to configure though.

but still better than most of them.as said i used them all and do daily.fraps has the better over all quality. the problem is the file size.for eg for most of my videos i do on theHunter the raw files a close to one tb. yet the exact same video in shadow play will be a fraction of that.when compared eg same settings shadow play has slightly less detail.sound can also be a bit hit and miss with shadow play but the file size and performance hit is less.

so you way up your options. do you want small files and less performance hit or over all quality.its not saying you cant get good quality on shadow play or others you can.

also record to a different drive to what you playing on.that is a real big thing if you dont know.
