CPU only yes? What's your current setup?
I'm on 6700k+gtx 1080, need a whole new pc, thinking either black friday or early next year after gpu launches.
My usage is mainly web browsing, with some gaming (generally not AAA), 1440p 144hz.
I'm thinking 4070 super, but don't know what cpu to pair it with.
I don't like the idea of buying old generations, and recent launches have been a flop, and this GN video doesn't help me at all.
So kinda in limbo not knowing what/when to buy.

That's my point though -
The champ cpus are expensive, I don't like paying a premium when something upper-midrange will do the job.
I doubt I'll even notice the difference over something half the price,
but that coverage of what's a good value current-gen upper-midrange cpu is what's missing,
and I'd expect a "best of 2024" video to cover all the price points, but they have the champ, then under $100, and everything in between is weird old value picks that don't make any sense to buy.

I imagine their share will drastically improve in the next 6 months or so.

I’ll be surprised if Intel don’t respond but they do seem to have their head up their own *%^# at the moment so yeah.
they lost 2% desktop market share to intel in the last 1/4 but think your right , but most of the sales atm are being driven by people upgrading from amd to amd the real test will be when all the covid buyers upgrade in a year or two
