Games crash unless....

Is it not kinda obvious that if it crashes unless you up your fan speed then something is overheating.

Is it a reference card?

75°c is not overheating. I've seen these hit 90°c and be stable. It is a reference card.

I just got my 6950 and the first thing i did was take of the awful blower assembly and put on my twin turbo pro no heat issues now sorry for going off topic

flash my card to 6970 speeds it crashes in all games and i think its my Psu

I don't think this calls for an RMA. It works as stated under the advertised clocks. Mines isn't a flashed version, original 6970. Maybe your crashing is related to that?

My PSU is 750W. Plenty to run a single card.

Why not set a fan profile in afterburner?

The whole point of trying to understand why it's crashing is so I can lower the fan speed to avoid the noise. I can run it all day long if I up the fan speed. I just don't want to turn up the speakers to drain out the fan at night time.

Check the volatges in afterburner.

A proper 6970 yes. I'm not into the whole flashing thing... for the sake of a few quid to have the real deal without all the hiccups people seem to be having.

on my way to get afterburner and gpu-z will report back soon.

Just to it's maximum, which I presume it can't go beyond?
