Good 2D games will give you a lot of un : Broken sword 1&2 - monkey island, The Longest Journey etc
There may be some early 3D game swhich are fun - but I'm not that familier with them.
managed BF2 on my on board x300 chip...ok, it was low settings and 20 fps, but it was *playable*, and i could get a fairly good score per round, and my accuracy was improving, so on board isn't all bad...as long as you have a good chip
Come on lads not one of you has mentioned the orginal Quake plus the mission packs. That game however old the graphics look is still a wicked laugh!!!!
Neverwinter Nights2 only came out last friday, you've got bored of it already
What laptop was it? seems to be a bit demanding on system specs. People with core2duo's + good graphics cards even have to disable shadow effects and possibly water effects for it to run at a stable framerate
My laptop is very low spec in most ways (1.5Ghz Celeron M processor, Intel GMA950 onboard graphics, 1GB of RAM) but I can run Half Life 2 with high settings on 1024x768 no AA or AF though.
Some ther games I have tried on it and ran well:
Football Manager series
Sim City 4
Sims 2
All Rollercoaster Tycoon games
