Games that should make a comeback

Moto Racer :D it loved my Voodoo 1 4mb at the time! Also i know it's out soon, but a new Operation Flashpoint that doesn't completely ruin what it was all about. Fingers crossed.

C&C
Red Alert

^the excuses for games that they've crapped out in the last 6 years don't count

Max Payne

^amazing franchise that sells itself, and had awesome graphics with immersive environments, was ahead of it's time imo

Destruction Derby

^this could easily be made on the engie that made Dirt or Grid with, online DD would rock

Cannon fodder! along with agreement on Syndicate and AvP. While I love RA2, RA3 was a pile of steaming poop, they need to stick with what works.

id like to see heretic remade wasn't a fan of hexen and heretic 2. i used the fact that you could turn people into chickens which made it quite fun over Lan...

King Pin for sure love that game!

Syndicate is being re-made as far as I'm aware?

Really? Where did you hear that?

I spent about a day trying to make Syndicate Wars work in a virtual machine, got everything working ok, managed to slow it down to a playable speed, but it would crash every time I completed a mission :(

Plasma Lance! :D

Thing with the original C&C is it was more tactical, more prod and punch the later one's were all about who could build the fastest!!!!!!and was over too soon........Remember playing C&C building great bases and have the guard dogs eat everything.........

Something old:

Dungeon Master / Elite / Bloodwych would love to see some Magic Knights games on there and maybe some really good Orin and Ultimate Play The Game (thinking Nodes of Yesod / Arc of Yesod / Robin of the Wood / etc.)

Somthing not as old:

Carmageddon would be good on newer engines
Max Payne - just to finish it off the ending of MP2 suggests a third game but it never happened

The list fails for not having Mechwarrior on it.

I think we'd all like to play a brand new mechwarrior game with insane graphics. Surely some development team knows theres a bit of a market out there with the previous games being pretty popular if I recall.

I have a list of games I'd love to see re-made but theres always a chance they could come out and screw up. It sort of tarnishes the image of the series then

Really? Where did you hear that?

Did Molyneux come out in an interview and mention hes considering it? I can't remember now

Pretty certain these lists have been done before but there's a host I would like to see remade.

The X-wing & Tie Fighter games plus expansion packs obviously, but also Wing Commander and the Privateer spin-offs. I was also quite partial to Strike Commander, especially the blood curdling scream from an opponent when you shot them down.

Quite a few flight sims would be on the agenda, probably top of the list F15 Strike Eagle, EF2000 and Longbow 2. Janes IAF would also be quite topical if somewhat a hot potato at present...

Someone mentioned Transport Tycoon, that did get reworked into Locomotion a few years back but graphically it was no real improvement and with the combination of poor AI and cramped unrealistic maps, gameplay was worse than the original. However, yes, a decent transport strategy game is long overdue.

However top of my list for a rework must be the 1999 Rally Championship. The graphics still look good now but imagine how realistic those long true-life stages would look rendered in something like the Crysis or COD engine, with accurate terrain data and decent draw distance. I drool at the thought!

Yeah, but they haven't aged well at all sadly.

Mouse movement is completely insane, scrolling speeds are crazy.

Turn on Video Back Buffer in Windows Setup in the RA folder....

Yes I think C&C: Red Alert 1 should be remade to work no troubles in Vista and XP as even with numerous fanmade patches there are problems...

Forgot to put Streets of Rage from the Megadrive in my last post. It's a shame that Side-scrolling Beat-m-ups seem to have died a death altogether these days :(

I'd also like to see Bio Hazard Battle from the Megadrive...
