Games with high replay value and low spec

+1 for

C & C first decade
warcraft 3
any civ or alpha centuri that will run

and 2 suggestions of my own

Port Royale 2
Galactic Civilizations 2 (worth checking a demo runs well through)

and Deus Ex is supposed to be epic but ive not got round to it yet.

Age of Empires II (and expansions)
Starcraft
Fallout

also try looking on Steam indy games section, games like Braid, Geometry wars etc will last you a while, while not impacting performance.

have you read the pc gamer dairies on it?

I couldn;t get in to it much but after reading them i picked u pa lot of tips and love it now

also there's a massive star wars vs star trek mod, there is somthing very fun about watching your borg cube blow **** out of a star destroyer :p

I could retry it, but Civ 5 is out soon so I dont think I will.

I found Galciv far too complex, had no idea what to do. I much preferred Imperium Galactica II, but they never made anymore of those.

So I'm leaving to move to uni on the 19th, and I will be leaving my main desktop behind. For whatever reason if I am stuck in halls on a lonely night and need something to play, can you guys reccommend games that have high replay value, but will run on a laptop with 1.6Ghz duo core, 512mb ram and a 128mb graphics card! :D

I'm not talking about story based games which you could play over again (cause i don't think you could :p ) but instead games like plants Vs Zombies, defense grid, that sort of thing.

Thanks

Settlers 3
heroes of might and magic 4 (or was it 3)
alpha centuari
most command and conquers
x-com (just started playing again myself :D)

probably plenty more buts that all I can think of at the mo
