Games with the most replayability value?

well.....counterstrike source lol

but OT, i love my epic single player games - ive completed FFVII 4 times, mass effect 1 & 2 both twice each ect....its probably FFVII really, but no single player game compares to what ive piled in to css lol

FF7 is the game I have clocked the most play time on, I was upto 85 hours on my original PS1 game save.

Another vote for Dead Rising on playability, it's just so much fun running around killing zombies with random objects. Cannot wait for the second one.

Playing through again and again is:

Resident Evil 2
Sonic 1
Sonic 2
Half Life
C&C 1
Red Alert

StarCraft, WarCraft 2 & 3 (plus expansions), Half-Life's, Portal, Devil May Cry 1 and 4, Red Alert 2, Tiberian Sun, Crysis, and now Metro 2033 :)

92 hours on final fantasy XIII so far, redoing most of the stuff to better scores is actually quite good on replayability. Most FF games take me around the 100 hr mark to 100% so they always seem to have good length to me, especially since i really dislike replaying games again (FFX-2 was a chore)

Demons souls probably my favourite for replayability. Took me about 80-100 hours to get platinum but i did eventually get quite bored since switching from dark to light was just painful.

If mmorpg's count i think i quit at around 400 days (9600 hours) on FFXI

But overall certainly Demons souls for replayability.

I brilliant game I never seem to hear people talk about is The Saboteur. I've spent most of my time blowing up tanks, Guard towers etc than actually playing the main story. It's very addictive. Unlocking the perks in the game is a lot of fun too.

Just curious on your thoughts. Which games can you 'complete' then go back through again and again? Online components count too, didn't take me long to complete MW2, but I've got a few hours of fun out of the MP so far.

Oh, and which game would you say has the longest SP mode?

Diablo II and Titan Quest. I've been doing runs of Diablo II since it came out. Gotta go through it every few years :D (that time has come around again actually due to 1.13).

I completed Titan Quest 9 times in a row over a few weeks as well, which landed me with an invincible archer (it literally cannot be hit by anything but AoEs), a Harbinger dual wielding two of the rarest maces in game and a beast of a tank . I may have to install it this weekend.

The quest for better items and characters will never end in the two games above :D

I agree with Diablo 2, must have played that through about 10-15 times (all 3 difficulties!!) an insane amount of replay value. Titan Quest never really clicked with me, I played it through once on one difficulty and never went back. I think the lack of definitive classes and the fact the skill system seemed a little blander than Diablo put me off playing it again.

Morrowind for me, such an open world

Huge indeed, and I think it's better for not having the fast-travel system they plugged in to Oblivion. There also seems to be a lot more variety to the locations - you could tell where you were by just looking around, whereas Oblivion's either somewhere in the mountains or somewhere on the plains.

Resident Evil 5 for me. I got 32 hours racked in Final Fantasy 13 as well, I love it quite a bit, last one I played was 7 (I still own the original case and cd's for PS1) :P

anything with competitive mp... usually some sort of online component. for me, fps, beat em ups with multiplayer have the longest play time by a long, long way.

single player games also need a good online/competitive feature to keep me playing... be it add ons/expansions or leaderboards... or the 'completion' so trophies/acheivements.

i would say the single player, non online which has gotten the most play time is probably gta3 or vice city... then followed by beefy rpgs

Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil remake
Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
Super Mario World
Final Fantasy 7
Street Fighter 4
Einhander
Mushihimesama
Gradius V
The shmup list could go on and on. It's just a genre I find very replayable.

Agree with FF7 and Resi Remake!
I also played Tomb Raider 1 and 2 countless times.

Resi Evil 2 on psx though was epic.

Good to see some people going for Dead Rising here.
Played through a few times to get different survivors, different endings, to level up, etc...
I love it. Still the best game of this generation in my mind, can not wait for the 2nd. :D

Demon's Souls is rather excellent for replayability.
Games with a sense of character progression, no matter the genre, tend to have a lot of replay value.
