Games you want to love but just don't get on with.

Battlefield 3, just nothing like what Battlefield 2 was and things like hit-detection seemed to change massively between the Beta and the final release.

Terraria, I expected something similar to Minecraft, but it doesn't have the same vibe.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. I love the settings and atmosphere but nothing really clicks for me.

BF3 for me bought it and uninstalled in within 2 days :(

Just a badly executed FPS and servers full of whiny kids and of course the uber players that are just 'better than anyone else'

BF2 was far far better than this POS , maybe my expectations were too high

This.

Love the setting etc but yeah, I never find a decent enough group of people to play with that are also patient :P Everyone's miles ahead and feel like a speck of dust. Tried to get into it about a dozen times.

Same here, plus the point & click system feels uninvolved. The arrow keys could at least move the ship up, down, left & right
I so want to like it. :(

Most FPS games... I find them too repetitive and all of them seem to be the same as each other. I like the genre and it's fun for an hour but after that it just gets boring.

Been quite a few over the past few years...

World in Conflict
Sins of a Solar Empire
Total War: Shogun 2
Bioshock
Stalker

All great games I'm sure - but I just couldn't get into them. I love RTS and FPS games too.....so it's not like they weren't my usual cup of tea either.

Bioshock and Bioshock 2. Both got great reviews, but I just couldn't get into them.

Also never got going with Empire Total War, despite sinking hours into Medieval 2.

Well for me it was BF3, its not quite BF2, by a long way, huge let down buggy as hell, just to name a few things,
its nice playing in a squad on mumble with the ocuk guys, but there seems to be something missing in the game, i mean i also found BFBC2 more fun to play,

I think the fun and the skill, and built in team play elements from BF3 are missing,
they are more interested in making a game look good, with crappy art style, rather than adding substance, i think it ll be the last EA/Dice game i buy for sure not gonna invest in the POS no more untill they make how it should,
very sad that its headed more in the COD direction!!
