Gaming headphones £70?

I bought my son a pair of Sennheiser heads phones and a mod mic last Christmas. They are still going strong and he loves them. He wears them for many hours on end. I have it on good authority that they are very comfortable. They seemed to be a better quality headphone than the majority of overpriced gaming headphones and the mod mic had excellent reviews. No complaints here. Would definitely get the same combo again.

Genuinely the best thing at the minute are Sennheiser 598SR. For the money (about £75) + a "ketdirect" 2.5mm boom mic with the senn lock built in (£15)... you'll go a VERY long way to find anything better.

Sorry to jump in, where can you find that mic?

That's definitely very good price.

Heck, that standard black plastics might be also more durable than shiny fashion plastics in other HD5xx models.
(ear cup to head band attachment has weak mechanical design)

If you Google "ketdirect boom mic sennheiser" I don't think it'll take long. The usual rainforest though.

Do note: there's 2 types.

1 is a 3.5mm basic stereo, 1 is a 2.5mm with the cable lock senn/ath use :) Handily makes the setup console/phone compatible too.

For me the most important thing is comfort and I spent around the same for Audio Technica ath-ad something, they have velour pads and fabric cushioned headband so can wear them all day if necessary. Some of the Sennheiser's have similar good cushioning but are a bit pricier usually.
