Would the Philips Fidelio X1's be a good choice? There is a pair used on ebay for £75, are they good?

Which would be better, MMX 300 or the X1s? Do the X1’s only have a quarter inch plug? How would i plug them into my PC or would I need to purchase something like a sound card or DAC?

I bought the AKG K702 on Esats recommendation and the difference from my Corsair 1500s is amazing, one of the best upgrades i have ever done. ( i also got a soundcard after the disappointing output from my on board, it was a super cheap one though)

What was the model of your sound card and would you recommend it? Do you think I should get the Beyerdynamics or the Philips Fidelios?
