both are pretty light tbh, the lachesis is good for claw style thou.

for a heavier moust, the Razer mamba would be the one to go for, but its outside ur budget.

Most/all razer mice have blue lights too.

if your not too worried about the weight, then i would prolly stick to the deathadder or lachesis
 
One question about the DeathAdder and the Lachesis as I've just realised the latter is a bit more expensive, is that what is the actual difference between an Optical (Infrared) and a Laser sensor?
 
I wish Logitech would revamp the MX518 i.e. remove the crappy badge on the top as mine has worn out and looks crap, smoother more freely moving scroll wheel, different finish/colours..
 
The sensor on my Deathadder seems to work fine on any surface I've tried it on, you can also disable the lights if you want.
 
If you're using it for BC2 then you'll want an on-the-fly DPI setting for controlling the tank turrets.

I've been very happy with my Ideazon Reaper Edge, it's rated as the number one most comfortable laser gaming mouse around. Plus you're not paying through the nose for features you'll never use.


I use all the buttons and all the features without installing a single piece of bloatware crappy software.

Erm, by pressing the button on the bottom of the DeathAdder it switches between profiles, you have to set up the profiles frist, so it does have on the fly dpi switching.

I have never used it though as there is nothing to say what profile you are on at the time, so whenever I want to change the dpi I just do it manually.

I still have the old version of it though so don't know if it is different in any way to the Respawn.
 
This is probably going to sound really dumb but does the software that comes with the DeathAdder work on Win7? Reason I ask is because I recently bought the Razer Arctosa and so far I haven't been able to get the Macro Configurator working, Im not sure why I thought it maybe the OS but I just did and have, so I dont want to make the mistake of it not working if it doesn't for others if that makes sense?
 
I actually use an HP Voodoo Gaming mouse. I ditched my Logitech G500 for this cheapy as I preferred the shape. Precision is just as good but it could do with being a smidge heavier. It's all down to personal preference and how you like to grip mice.
