ahh i will have to try that slot then.. annoying thing is its underneath my GPU . so such a pain to take off again lols.

true, but worth the effort with trouble shooting - can be an issue with 3 things, board/bios/m.2 stick so hopefully find out which one
lower slot will run 20% slower (still faster then SSD but all 3 arent noticeable if pure gaming)
hopefully though, if bottom slot works, then can move to the top and try it again
i just put windows on a usb and booted it up, it recognised there was a nvme card there. So i installed it on the drive and its all good now.
