Gaming PC for £600?

1050 Ti is better then 560 , it's a shame the 570 is what it is, should have been better cut down, not to close to 580 and would have gone off miners radar and been a good budget card

Uses less power to .

Personally 580 is better then 1060 due to good freesync 1080p 144hz screen for half the price of Nvidia. Always swings and roundabouts

AMD graphics is always better. See the image quality. Nvidia cards get their framerates based on limiting the visual quality of the rendered worlds in games.

Many components now ordered to make the most of the deals. Looks like the build is going to be more like £700 when considering the case. Hopefully the below looks ok and is all compatible?

A lucky lad will hopefully be pleased come Christmas day!

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £614.04 (includes shipping: £11.10)
Have fun with the build. Like I said, if you can squeeze a bit more out of the budget you will really see the benefit of it. You will have the basis of a great PC and, if you're anything like me, upgrading it in future will be simple. You have a good CPU in there and when the time comes to upgrade the graphics or add more RAM it's as simple as just slotting the new ones in place and away it goes again.

^^^^ bare in mind is OP installs windows on that 120GB drive with Fall update , they'll be around 75-80 GB left ...

Wow, that would be a hot card , I know Gigabyte pushed the boat at the limit doing 1080 itx but that would still run cooler then RX 570/80 chips :D

I think this is the most balanced build. However, to stick within budget taking into account the availability of HDD, I would change the 570 to a 1050ti saving £55, use £5 to "upgrade" to the Cougar VTX 650w.

With the HDD out of the equation, this is about £550. You could then spend £80 on an 850 Evo 250GB taking you to £630 if you really wanted.

I would rather have an ATX MB to allow fitting of additional RAM at a later date. A case in a budget build is the least consideration IMO.

Are you building the pc? Or is your nephew building the pc?
You could consider getting stuff off the MM. Would net you a much better gaming system than if you were to source all the parts new
