Can I just ask, does the above (with the GTX 970) need a cooler? and I know this is going to sound thick but does it need a sound card?

I keep looking at the Titan tanto pre-built too...my budget is getting slammed lol

No.

Onboard 7.1 sound, GFX card has a cooler already fitted, CPU (retail not OEM) comes with a stock cooler.
