would you all like me to post pics up? and any good advice you think's worth knowing as this is my first complete build from scratch

and does any one know if i will be able to get a diffrent game on the free voucher i get with buying 2 GPU's as its daft getting same game twice??

and would the build i have bought cope with 3 screen?

Pics of the pile of boxes always go down well, then some of the build and result :). Read some building guides, take your time, be methodical, ground yourself regularly, make sure standoffs for the mobo are all installed in the case tray in the correct positions - for every screw hole in the mobo (probably 9). Also view some youtube vids for applying thermal compound - very important to get it right. There's one vid that uses a transparent substitute for a heatsink allowing you to see exactly what goes on with the compound when you squish it. Don't pre-spread it - look for pea, line or cross methods. Good luck ;)

Oh - I doub't you can change the free game, but the code will be worth a little in the MM/Ebay. Or you could give it to me :)

This is the one I had in mind. Gives you an insight into what's going on and an explanation of why not to pre-spread.

good shout. I watched a bunch of videos online of my components before building. I then looked through the build guides at the top of this forum. good luck hope it goes well

hi there all i will be posting pic's up soon of the build, eveything went great booted up first time all parts fitted every where nice! the 700D is MASSIVE lol but everything is very quiet, have't tweeked anything yet as i thort i would try the machine first.

CPU temp is 17c

SYSTEM temp is 26c

would i need to up the voltage of the Coolermaster V6 CPU in bios or do anything like that???

Glad the build went well :). Those temps look nice and low for idle temps, but you need to know load temps to determine the success of your CPU cooler mounting etc. Get some utilities like CPUz (for monitoring frequencies and voltages) and Coretemp (for monitoring temps) installed. Then get some stress testing done and monitor load temps and verify stability. Get memtest to verify your RAM isn't faulty, Prime95 and IBT for CPU stressing, and Furmark for GPU testing. If all that looks good, it's overclocking time - woo! :)

L4D2 all max settinggaming for 40mins CPU temp 32. any good..

but i will try all the thing you have posted up do thanks for that :)

L4D2 cannot really be considered 'load' for your system! ;)

But temps seem good (your room must be cold). Just do say 5 runs of IBT on max memory mode. That will show you your hottest temps.
