I am thinking of building an ITX system or buying a gaming laptop. Now, thing is, i am not too clever on ITX components. I have built many PC's over the years so know my way around a build but i need advice.

I have listed the components i quite like.

Now, will this setup all fit together, firstly as a good gaming machine, secondly, 'in that case' and thirdly as a quiet solution?

I know a GPU fans/s can be changed etc but any one can help with these questions then that would be great.

I already have an SSD, DVD Drive and Win OS. Ta

I've literally just built the exact same PC, in a different case, CPU and Mobo.

It would all fit, providing the GPU is short enough but i'm guessing you have already checked.

As far as a good gaming PC? It'll hold well at 1080p but you won't be maxing out the latest titles but then again you can't expect that. The 960 is an awesome little card for the money, i got the windforce ITX one and even though the fans are against the edge of the case the temps were good and it was silent!

I wouldn't bother with changing the cooler to be honest as you can't overclock and I can't even hear mine!

Ok, so i could use stock fan on CPU. Is that PSU quiet? GPU quiet?

I may get 1 stick of ram instead, 16gb futureproof i guess.

That system would play most games then? CPU more than capable?

Thanks for advice

Yeah i'd use the stock fan. I've never been able to hear any of the PSU's I've owned but the PC is absolutely silent, even in gaming!

I've got 8gb and won't see a PC like that needing more any time soon to be honest. Although DDR3 is getting really cheap now DDR4 is out.

Yeah CPU is fine. It will compliment the GPU nicely. I'm getting about 90% CPU usage in games on mine @ stock.

Easily, you won't be getting ultra on GTA 5 etc but any other game you'll be laughing :)

Any reason why as i am a noob and know nothing! lol

The 'K' models have unlocked cores, so can be overclocked to give extra oomph to your rig.
Bear in mind overclocking will require, not only some knowledge but decent cooling and a decent psu as you are increasing the voltage and thus increasing temps.

Deffo worth the extra £30 mate.

Ok, looks like 'K' model then.

I like the Frac Core 500 case. I might look at getting a low CPU cooler with big fan.

I may go ahead and build this. The CPU and GPU will play all modern games? I am not fussy about ultra high settings in games.
