Gaming & Streaming PC

if your on about monitors and not hitting 144hz at 1440p or 120hz at new 4k....

its about investment. screens last years. my 18" 1080p lasted 10 years , A-levels, Uni doing games design and replaced just before I had a kid exactly 10 years later. I know most now running 1440p 120hz+ monitors have been running then since then first came out and wont change for a long while.
as GPUs get more powerful they can running run almost max HZ at average frame rate, when their mins finally hit max hz rate at ultra, games and drivers can now upscale to make the cards work harder and games look more detailed.

personally, would happy to take a hit from Vgea 64 to 56 is could move from 27" to 32" 1440P 144Hz - specially if IPS/VA on offer

Haha, I change monitors like women change their clothes... or very often.
Back in the year 2006, I had an CRT LG 17" 1024x768 or something similar, then in 2010 an 22" LG TFT LCD 1920x1080, then a year or two later 22" BenQ TFT LCD 1920x1080, then an 24" AOC LED LCD 1920x1080,
and finally this year the best monitor, this 3840x2160 LG 24UD58.

Thank you guys for the help :) Will have to think on which to go for but it will definately be one of the ones suggested here.
But I'm also wary of AMD builds. I've only ever heard bad things about them from friends. Which is probably why I've never owned a AMD PC before. But if you guys are suggesting them I should be fine haha.

I have been running an AMD Athlon 64 since 2006 and to date this processor works. Changed the motherboards once or twice during this 12-year period but the processor is rock solid.

These negative feelings against AMD are really disturbing :(

AMD have come out fight! would explain in last 16 months intel release 6 core and then 8 core to keep up.

Massive surge to 8 core when streaming started to become rage with your average user

Ok thanks guys. I will give AMD a go :)

And dam 10 cores already XD Seems like only 2 years i3 was the new big thing. Hard to belive it's been 5 or so years already.
