Hi peeps.
I've noticed in some games (mainly Bioshock) I get the occasional stutter which is proving annoying. For example, the game stuttered a moment ago as security bots were after me, and the countdown got stuck then the seconds quickly caught up (60 second secuirty shutdown timer) til the game was running normal again.
Also every now and again, I feel a stutter when walking around and I've noticed when loading, the sound sometimes gets stuck and keeps repeating itself for about 4 seconds, then again the system catches up.
Im getting generally good FPS in the game - between 45-60 @ 1280x1024, and you can see my hardware configuration below. Well above recommended specs.
One thing I dont have though (and maybe this is the problem...) is a sound card? It does say on minumum requirements for the game that one is needed, and a better one is recommended (EAX Advanced). My Motherboard (Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4) has built in 7.1 sound, and I'm using a 2.1 speaker setup.
Is the lack of a soundcard the liekly issue or could it be something else?
Thanks all.
