** GAMING **

How do they plug into the ps4? If it's into the ds4 directly I wouldn't recommend that as the audio quality from the ds4 is terrible. It is a controller made to a cheap price point with a touch pad, speaker, etc .

It also uses bluetooth and isn't that powerful for driving headphones

I bought a pair of these for my son based on Ryanr1987 review, and for the money i am gobsmacked. whilst im no expert in sound or an audiophile. i think they are brilliant for the money.

As recomended though i did also purchase a amp, not sure if i did the correct thing, but i bought a fiio e6 paired them up to the headset and omg for the money, they are amazing when amped.

also the amp for the money is amazing, i was so impressed with the amp i got one to run my x1s on and it has made a masive difference, i still want to get a objective amp/dac though when pennies permit.

but i would highly recomend these for the money.

just so you know We sell the UK equivalent of the Objective AMP/DAC The EPH - O2Di from epiphany acoustics With a couple of improvements in the form of speaker pass through and power plug in the back.

Obviously pennies still permit but :) get the 260 posts in whilst you save and you can get free shipping ;) if you don't have it already.

He he that is a very nice amp/dac I have been nagging them to release it for months, I will be getting it when pennies allow lol.

And yes i already have the free postage, have done for erm a very very long time lol

I have one and it's a great piece of kit totally inoffensive too which is very appealing to me. Plus I like having external volume controls

His explanation of how a sound card with an output impedance of 10 ohms loses one third of the music when used with 32 ohm headphones had me rolling around. He also states that 32 ohms input impedance is the standard for headphones, when there is no such thing. He uses a few solid facts to tart up a bunch of nonsense and outright advertising.

Yes, you're right. His explanation of magnetic shielding was also quite shady with the "if it has holes in it noise gets through". Should probably have a look at the shielding in his smart/mobile phone. Can't write it completely off as it's at least half trueful.

Did want to like the video but it's hypocritical and advertisement for these external sound cards/devices or DACs as everything likes to call them which the guy explaining just so happens to sell.

yes rozzy indeed half truths with fluff from a subjective opinion with a desire to sell one of the products.

We have deal pricing for promotions for insomnia

Kingston are giving their retail partners deals in succession so eventually we will have a deal too but tbh they are worth it at 69.99 let alone sub 60 You would be hard pressed to find such a well built and solid complete solution for £60

Thought I'd put this hear too and I'm also writing a separate section in the review.

Just an update with the HXC I've been using the pleather pads and the sound is much more lush and full with more weight behind the bass with a more rolled off treble which I actually prefer. Sadly they heat my ears up quickly which is an issue I have with all leather pads. The sound though, is better suited for music with the pleathers and also seals much better. They don't leak too bad with the pleathers at all. With the Velours it was almost leaking like a semi open headphone.

The sound with the velours is thinner with a more sharper needle like treble but with good micro detail. With the Pleather the sound is still detailed but not as obvious as the velours. The soundstage is much more congested due to the thicker sound of the pleather pads.

I think the velours are better for gaming while the pleathers are more musical.

It is looking like we will have specialist pricing on this headset through insomnia

Will that be for people just attending insomonia or for everyone?

Gaming

We like playing games. Games are dead good.

Being better than other people at games is brilliant.

I made a gif of someone winning at games because they are using a great headset.

Look at him winning:

We have tested this headset here at OcUK and for the money, nothing really beats it. Twst was testing this out on his high end audio equipment and comparing it to his £250 Beyerdynamic MMX300 in sound quality.

The headset has won a load of awards too.

Get yourself pumped by watching this video featuring some astonishingly obnoxious dubstep music and professional gaming people wearing this headset.

Whilst these are gaming orientated, they do very well in music. Perhaps better than most things we have tried in the sub £100 category.
We are arranging for a set to be sent to a forum headphone reviewer so they can be reviewed properly by an unbiased OcUK forum member.

Stock is due any day now. Buy one and be just as awesome as the guy in my gif.
