Gary Moore - dead

noooooooooo :(

ive had the pleasure of seeing the man play Rock City a number of times over the years & never grew tired of watching him practise his art, seeing him tear thru the intro to Murder in the skies is a memory i'll cherish for a long long time.

RIP fella

Jesus mega sad day for me this guy is the whole reason I got into playing the guitar, started listening to him 19 years ago will be missed for sure one of the true greats R.I.P.

I prefer Rock Moore over blues.

I sway from rock to blues.

Absolutely gutted, my mate just started playing so I got him to listen to Gary Moore.

A sad day, RIP.

Absolutely gutted - Gary Moore has been one of my idol guitarists for the past 25 years, from his celtic styled "Wild Fontiers" to his guitar-crying "Still got the blues".
As a self-learning guitarist for the past 4 years, you appreciate the skills of various players from different genres and Gary was certainly one of them - famed for his fast runs along the neck while playing to a slow blues beat and high gain slow, controlled bends.
If there is a Pantheon of All Time Legend Guitarists, Gary certainly should be there.
RIP Gary Moore - my Guitar Hero!!
:(

This also brings the question of:
Which Gary Moore did you like?

Thin Lizzy
Colosseum
Rock/Metal Gary Moore
Blues Gary Moore

I favoured Rock Gary Moore.

Prefered his Thin Lizzy and early 80's rock/metal era's. It wasn't just his amazing lead playing, he could chug out massive groove laden metal riffs too.
