Absolutely hated him as a player - but I find I'm quite waming to him as a pundit on Sky Sports.

Doesn't continually interrupt and shout over the other pundits like Jamie Redknapp, tells it like it is and seems pretty grounded.

Better than Andy Gray with the touch screen tech as well :D

I can imagine Andy Gray is sat at home crying as he sees Gary Neville playing with his tactics tech!

But yeah he's not a bad pundit at all especially as he's still new to it. Hopefully he'll avoid the Redknapp verbal diarrhoea!

Didn't watch any of the pre/mid/post game stuff, but assumed he'd be good as he's already been good. Much better to have a player at the top of his game, who can speak, and knows what the hell he's talking about than Andy "has a personality apparently" Gray.

Gray's personality, as far as I could tell, was being very scottish, and wrong, and looking at everything very one sided 99% of the time. IE A cross near the keeper is always good, even if no one on his team had a chance of getting to it. IF theres an offside, its always the striker going to early, never the passer delaying the pass, etc, etc. He was VERY set in his thinking and hadn't offered a new, original or inciteful opinion in the past 5 years frankly.

Those two were so busy laughing at their own jokes they forgot how to be pundits. Neville's already put other pundits right in some of the bull they've been talking for years.

I absolutely hate the man, as a player, as a really bad role model for the PFA, he was a real idiot.

But much respect to him now, really thought his punditry was decent, non biased, and kept it very professional. look forward to seeing him at arsenal vs liverpool next weekend. great addition to SS so far :)

I really enjoyed his punditry and I have to admit I laughed at some of his "jokes" too. Good acquisition for Sky and I'm glad he's chosen to take this path in his career. Can't say I agree with people who said Richard Keys had a personality, he was always a negative, snide, smarmy little ******

Miss Andy & Richard tbh. Personality goes a long way.

What?

They were vile humans, loathed the pair of them and it was the highlight of last season Gray and Keys leaving. Pair of complete ****ing **** talking sexist *******.

Only problem is now Talk**** have them, but as that was **** anyway I didn't listen to it.

I think Neville is a good pundit and talks a lot of sense, his understanding of the game is very good.

You're just in denial about how much you love him really ;)

He talks more sense then most of the other Sky pundits, I'd love to see more recently ex players on there to be honest.

I look forward to a line up of Diouf, Barton and Rooney in the near future :p
