Gears of War PC Footage Leaked

Thats crazy

I cant believe anyone would want to play a PC FPS with a gamepad!
Thats the thing though, GoW is third person so I don't think it'd work too well with kb/m, any other FPS on pc I'd play with kb/m

If it does come to the 360 it will be via the marketplace because do you think people would be happy about paying for another version of the game to get the 'new' content that should have been in the game from day one? Because I sure as hell wont be.

If I am right all the new content should be the first half of Act 5 which seemed to be missing, thats why Act 5 made little sense and was extremely short in comparison to the other chapters. And if it is the first half of Act 5 it shouldnt be too difficult to put it all in order via a quick patch.

Was my fav act in the whole game. Could have been even better if it was longer.

no, it's always been playable in third person, and quite a few people used to play it that way.

Thats like saying Oblivion is a third person game. It's simply a camera angle nothing more.

In Raven Shield, R6: Athena and Vegas there is no playable third person mode at all either (unless your counting the corner sneak thing in the latest game?).

Rainbow Six 3
Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow
Raven Shield
Athena
Vegas

Have all been first person, spectator mode doesn't count either.

I've known about this a while, but you just reminded me about it... now I have to moan some more :(

What a kick in the balls though, Epic are meant to be known for their fan support? really shows doesnt it.

"Many who played Gears were disappointed that they never had the chance to face off with the Brumak." - The fans wanted it so they include it in the PC version? Anyone else see something wrong with that? The 360 fans wanted it so the PC gamers get it?

If it comes down to it I will play it on PC, but they wont see a penny from me for it.

I put it here because it was meant to be a 360 exclusive, so just seeing what peoples reactions are to a newer* version etc.
I for one and miffed that once again I've paid more for an Xbox version of a game that was chopped up and dumped on the shelves for Christmas blatantly incomplete, only for a newer, better version to turn up on PC.

*edit* I realise now the debate was old, But after writing all that, no way am I deleting it. :p

FPS shooters do work fine on Consoles, Although if i'm honest I prefer them on the PC. But thats a matter of preference and some comments in here seem to be trying to make their preference fact. I love Halo, and I love Chronicles. After playing them on the xbox and loving them, When i saw they were available on the PC, i went straight to get them, because I expected a better experience!

And i did prefered both games on the PC.

The Darkness for the 360 and PS3, I cant help but wonder if it'd be better on the PC. because as fantastic as it looks, I'm a bigger fan of keyboard and mouse gaming than I am a console pad.

But saying that, Although I enjoyed playing both halo and riddick more on the PC, I always find myself playing the Xbox versions, I've not touched the PC versions since i completed the games along time ago.

So I think a comfort and availability factor comes into the equation aswell.

As for the 1st vs 3rd person shooter debate, Surely that depends on the individual game and the way 3rd person is implimented, Its not always done the same. Some I admit are a little annoying, but then some (GTA) are done great.

I think that's the only FPS I hated playing on the Xbox pad, the aiming was whack.

Are they?... They want to try getting rid of all the glitches, bugs, sticky walls, crap netcode and such from the 360 version first before they go looking to make money elsewhere.

Thanks mate, hilarious. :D :D :D

I take it you disagree theres bad netcode? As i dont want to be alone in saying so lol.

I think Epic are fantastic when it comes to the multiplayer side of things. They've taken all the things they know to work in online multiplayer gaming for the PC and brought it to console. I'd say Epic multiplayer gaming on the 360 is.....Epic? :p

Yeah Gears is pretty well coded I barely ever had lagged on that game, I look forward to the PC version lots though, it's gonna feel like a whole new ball park with kb/mouse. :D

Actually I agree, the shot gun lag is awful. Once or twice Ive seen lancer lag too. The good players that host become so good even they find it boring. Aint that right Kalanium ;)

Had that a few times but only against Americans, happened in Halo aswell, same thing on Rainbow Six 3 back in the days of Xbox. (well not shotgun lag but the same type of thing)

I have superb quality 1 meg up/8 down connection and i still get shotgun delay. The Host advantage is just pathetic, one aimed shot you're dead. I spent most of yesterday out gunning people on Gears, hitting them four or five times only to be killed instantly by the host. This a failing of live's p2p but also of the crap netcode in gears. Shotgun is the biggest culprit, then you get the snipers active reload which fails to kill, repeatedly. So yes, pretty hilarious isn't it.
