Must be your PC as AC is very stable compared to many other new PC releases. If you have a heavily overclocked system this can cause issues but that is not Ubisofts fault to cater for overclocked PC's is it.
I will admit the game does have a lot of similar gameplay but TBH you can say that about any game in the past 10-15 years they are all very samey in that respect. Yeah the story is nothing special but no better or worse than anything else out there. What AC does have going for it is that its a beautiful looking massive open world you can explore and there are many unique features like free running to escape fights or jumping off tall buildings all seamless as no loading is required to break up the illusion of the open world.
Not any other games around you can do that in which have the same graphical detail as AC.
PC is not overclockered. Quad 6600 / 4GB RAM / 8800GTS Graphics Card. It was better with the patches but still not that great. To be honest it's not a great game so I didn't waste much time with it. Everything else on the system is very stable and runs fine (Grid / AoC / LoTRO) so I know 100% it's not my system.
Erm there is loading in the game. The bit where you're told the hints. Annoys the heck out of me. The game area is pretty big but it looks the same so you can't really tell where you are other than following the arrows pointing you to the destination.
It does look nice but I can't think why anyone would want to do all the subquests, etc. and not just run mindlessly through and slaughter everyone (i.e. the rescue the peasants, find the flags, etc.)
