The term Geek Show is often applied to situations where an audience is drawn to a performance or show where the performance consists of a horrific act that is found disdainful but ultimately entertaining by masses. It may also be used by a single person in reference to an experience which he or she found humiliating but others found entertaining. It is used in derision.
All those terms (Nerd, Geek) are derogatory in some way to someone somewhere imo. they sound like an insult to someone with an interest or hobby.
They should not be implied just to computers or technology, but mainstream to, someone who say plays guitar could be classed as a music geek/nerd or someone working on a car is a mechanical nerd ect.. just because one seems cooler than the other.
That scale is too broad especially intelligence. I would safely put geek but I don't know if I qualify for nerd.
Thing is though my obsessions only last for a couple of months ( apart from GD), I don't watch any TV shows/Films or even read any books for that matter.
