GeForce GTX 770 Specifications Leaked, Could Surprise with Pricing

they are just replacing the 680 gtx place in market look at there price thats where they will sit.

each product sits in a place to sell.

when a newer product arrrives it just replaces the older ones place.

they will be atleast 400 quid.

as said if you think theyll be 300 wake up its not a dream :p

Egg.face. :p

I'm in the same situation as u considering 570 -> 770 upgrade. I am going to go for it because:
  • Almost double FPS in BF3 (just referring to this for the purpose of having a benchmark)
  • VRAM up to 2GB from 1.5GB (this should be plently at 1080p for a while to come unless you are an AA hog/modder)
  • Newer branding so will hold value longer than if buying a 680 now
  • Most people will not be ditching 680s to upgrade to this as there is not much difference, so there won't be many for sale in the MM
  • It's £200+ cheaper than the GTX780 for only about 10 fps less in BF3 @ 1080p
  • I want a new toy to play with ;)
Yes, I have also written this to convince myself :D

EDIT: from anand's review -

I have 2 570's that I purchased 2 years ago, I'm toying with the idea of replacing them with a single 770 as I can't really afford a 780. Would I still see a performance increase?

What's the rest of your system and what res do you game at?
2 570s to 1 770 shouldn't yield a better performing system. Probably best wait for the 800 series.

I have an i7 2600k @ 4.5GHz, 8gb of corsair vengeance black and I game at 1080p.

The 570's are both MSI twin frozr III's which I have clocked at 850MHz (Core) & 1.7GHz (Shader), the noise they make is a little bit annoying but I mainly game with headphones, that's my only complaint with the cards really.

Unless you are struggling with VRAM limitations in games, I would be inclined to wait a few months to see what AMD's response is. Those 570's are still awesome cards and will perform just as well in most games as a 770 :)

No, a slight drop in overall performance as the improvement from 570->770 is about 85%. However, you will avoid sli, stutter, heat, power issues by moving to a single card. However, may be worth doing now whilst your 570s are still worth selling.

as Gregster says, if you are having VRAM issues (e.g. lots of stutter and dipping frame rates when running maximum / high settings) then the 770 could alleviate these problems for you

570 SLI will have more raw grunt, but they will hit a brick wall on certain settings

you should still be able to get £100-150 for your 570's, so the money to upgrade should be minimal?
