Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition vs GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition 10 games benchmarks leaked:

Even though these benchmarks support what I and many others have been saying for weeks now - it isn't really possible to take them seriously because there are no release drivers available yet so hard to believe these games were able to be benchmarked.

But as I said, if they are true then we are seeing 35-45% average increase in performance ... just like Nvidia said... I will be serving free humble pie in the lobby for all the naysayers.

just watched through and oh deer, the performace between the two cards is marginal at best, fair enough a couple of titles were showing a decent improvment, and i supose its running full tilt at 4k res but lets just hope that the drivers are early stage because if not a fair few ppl are going to be returning the new rtx and sticking with 1080ti's. i'll hold out for more reviews but if more of same i may end up getting a second 1080ti
You need to go back to school and retake GCSE maths:

PUBG 45% increase
Rainbow 6 46% increase
Witcher 3 28% increase
Crew 2 23% increase
For Honor 51% increase
Battlefield 5 38% increase
GTA V 27% increase
Mass Effect Andromeda 39% increase
Far Cry V 55% increase
Call of Duty WWII 22% increase

So an average increase of 37.4% across the selected titles - on what can only be alpha drivers...

Even the lowest increase at 22% is not marginal.

fair enough but you say on average its around 37.4% faster so that means nvidia have to charge £1099 for a card that dosent use its tensor cores and dlss, ok bfv and a few titles will work with rtx tech but what about all the rest of the games out alreday which wont benifit from rtx whats the point spending over a 1k when a 1080ti will smash most games today?

The prices being touted for these cards is absolutely ridiculous. Doesn't feel that long ago you could bag a flagship for under £500.

Hoping AMD get their act together, because I am never dropping a grand on a graphics card.

Last I checked, no-one said you have to go out and buy a new RTX 2080 Ti - if you are perfectly happy with your existing performance on your existing GPU then that is fine, you don't have to buy the new one. But to say there is not significant increase in a like for like comparison when we are seeing an average of 37.4% with some titles approaching and over 50% without the advantage of DLSS (which will improve those numbers even more) and on Alpha drivers, is simply false.

Don't want a new card, don't buy one - but don't think you the right to chastise those of us who do and have. Value is subjective.

38% increase is not significant, it's bare minimum expected

I take it you do not have an education which includes the study of statistics then? 38% not significant lol. So ok if it is not significant, why don't you give away 38% of your current income to charity every month - I mean, it is not significant so shouldn't impact you in any way right?

Really...?

980 Ti vs 1080 Ti FPS increase - 24% ( http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1080-Ti-vs-Nvidia-GTX-980-Ti/3918vs3439 ) so quite literally a 50% increase in gen 2 gen performance over previous gen...

The difference was bigger than that 1080 was 20% faster, 1080ti was 25% faster than 1080, those benchmarks you linked many of them are cpu limited or whatever.

Still I've got a 1080 which replaced my 980ti so a 2080ti is going to be a massive improvement. Probably twice the speed with the new tech on top.
