Gen V


From the world of The Boys comes Gen V. Young, aspiring heroes have their physical and moral boundaries put to the test while competing for Godolkin University's highly coveted top ranking. When the university’s dark secrets come to light, the students must come to grips with what type of heroes they are going to become.
 
Looks great, theres also a red band trailer that is exactly the same but with the swearies put back in. Bizzare all that gore isnt redband but one flip and a mild penis word is )

Looking forward to the frothosphere reacting to that character.

Looks like the release date for this is sept 29th. It looks good, a "The Boys" take on X-Men Academy.

Apparently filming on S4 of The Boys is now finished and is currently in post production but wont be released until mid next year due to the writers strike.
 
Not sure about the spin off, the whole super/special high school has been done a lot.

Recently watched Invincible Prime, wow, Omni-man makes Homelander look like a saint.
 
Normally I'm the first one callings for heads on pikes about respecting the source material, but given the quality and tone of the Boys comic run, them taking everything but the basic outline and a two line synopsis of each character is a vast improvement.

If I were in such a mood, I'd be a lot more irked at them appearing to totally miss the point of the Gen V arc than making it a spin off.
 
Gen V is getting rave reviews from critics, sat at 100% on rt currently. Tbh I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing . Given how trash many critics are I hope its not indicative of the usual..
 

Sweet baby jeebus - 1st ep of Gen V!

I wasn't going to watch this as i thought it would be a cash in and no one can replace Homelander and Butcher. But it isn't about them, although loads of references to the Seven.

Strong opening episode. More of The Boys ie some mental scenes :eek:
