Gen V

I just watched the first episode. I really enjoyed it and will give the next few episodes a chance. But it's clear as a man in his 50s this isn't aimed at me. That's a shame as I at least felt The Boys had something for me.

But there are few programmes aimed at my demographic nowadays.

I really enjoyed it, i watched all 3 episodes this weekend. It was really messed up from the get go and continued in the messed up spirit of The Boys for all 3 episodes. Most of the characters are pretty unlikable just like the main show (I will give an exception to the shrinking girl as she is pretty fun but messed up in her own way) I also like how it showed the Vought manipulation in these peoples lives from an early age and how getting powers often brings along its own set of detrimental effects.

Interested to see how it goes on and how, if at all, it is referred in the main show.

I was disappointed in the quick exit of Clancy Brown though. But some scenes were definately as good(Bad) as the main show, opening, exploding guy, and the junk scene

Ep 1 continued the messed up spirit of The Boys, Ep2 and 3, were a Scooby Doo mystery waiting to be solved. Jinkies, it was the Head of the Programme all along! We would have got away with it if weren't for those pesky kids.

Rest of series needs to up it's game.

The next couple of episodes were a bit pants. Sad face.

That disjointedness was the point, if you let it play far enough to see the preview of the next episode it seems to be about the characters realising there's a gap in their memories.

Almost like the same effect Marie had earlier in the episode....

I don't watch spoilers for the next week episode, but yes, i thought that maybe the telepathic had got her or maybe in a mind world he had created for her and none of what we saw actually happened - please no!

Ta.

I sometimes wonder how they manage to "get away" with some of the stuff on there but I enjoy it nonetheless :)
