Gen V

Watched the 1st one, its not very good. Story is dull and the actors have zero screen presence and no charisma - started browsing my phone half way through. I'll give the 2nd ep a go but I'm not hopeful

Yeah I turned ep 2 off after 30 odd minutes, just doesn't do it for me. Lacks everything that makes the boys so good. Shame as I think there's a decent premise buried somewhere in there. Maybe with better writers, story, humor and characters it could be good.

Just another year(ish) to wait until we get some proper boys action :(
 
I watched the first episode. Then woke up at episode three. I think that sums up Gen Z to me. Boring as beep.

Usual boring Amazon or Netflix show to cash in on the popular main show, without the "Boyz", or should I say men... But I can only comment on the first episode lol.

Dicks, depravity, ultragore and messed up teen supes are pretty much mandatory if you're familiar with the source material. It's not ripping off the main series IMO, it's just part of what it is. People would be pretty miffed it wasn't gory, don't you think?
Yeah, it's a teen drama, yet it's also fitting with the obvious commentary on things like the superficiality and narcissism of social media.

This is the exact type of humour The Boys is! You not remember the small dude crawling in the big dudes a-hole? Gross and hilarious and the big penis, small girl was one of the things that made Ep 1 great!
 
Very Japanese.
There are a number of anime series that use blood as a weapon. Seems completely stupid to me.

Series is good so far. Not sure where it is headed yet.
