I see this as the 2nd major after the worlds. Its the 2nd longest running tournament, still at the same venue it’s been at for 30 years and over a proper distance. You ain’t flukeing a win over anyone over a best of 19+ leg format.

Yeah can't disagree with you fellas. These longer games really separate the wheat from the chaff and makes it harder for the lesser skilled players. Whereas in first to 11 legs games the lower skilled players can often start well enough to win the shorter match.

I'm disappointed that Littler got knocked out early as I was hoping to see him in these longer games. I bet he's looked at how bad MVG has been in the other games since that first round and been kicking himself.
