Tax free allowance in my case. Might be a LibDem idea but couldn't go it without the tories

That makes no sense at all, if the Tories had had their way you would not have seen this increase in the allowance, the rise happened in spite of the Tories.

I'll just leave this here
http://www.camdennewjournal.com/ukip#.VUYkdm6VtgE.twitter

As robgmun likes to post everything bad that happens to other political parties, thought it only fair to show what one real Ukip candidate thinks.

Of course, these are his own personal opinions and do not (yet) form part of Ukip official policy. I know Ukip aren't (officially) a racist party, but they do seem to attract (for some reason) more than the average share of racist nutters

In short he says he is a "convert to Islamophobia" and that "Islam is at war with us, as it has been with the whole world for the past fourteen centuries"

He also says this:

Of the EDL, he said his response “has been equivocal, largely on account of the poor tactics, lack of self-discipline and their failure of its organisers to exclude a publicity-seeking hooligan element from their ranks. However, I applaud the aims and intentions of its former leader, the young man calling himself 'Tommy Robinson', his personal courage in the face of repeated threats to his safety $nd the safety of his family, and his perseverance against the ill-informed, biased and distorted criticism that he continuously receives from the media.

Apparently nobody told him that Robinson left the EDL in 2013.

Oh dear, Oh dear. Using 80's style rhetoric. You obviously have not noticed in the past 15+ years the SNP had moved from centre right to centre left.

Shock, horror.... rich people backing political parties. Well I have never heard of that before.

You seem to forget that the SNP have led a minority Govt. in Scotland which was popular enough for them to win a majority at the next election and unless something goes really badly wrong they will win another term in 2016. Are you saying the people of Scotland cannot tell the difference?

The independence canard yet again. Did you perchance notice that the UK population did not give either of the two main parties a majority the last time?
The British public are sick of the two party system that does not represent them. This is the reason for the rise of UKIP and the SNP. Labour and especially the Tories have pushed this referendum nonsense because it is an attack on their cosy relationship. The British public are again saying 'we don't trust any of the two parties'.

People with short memories seem to forget that the Labour party had clause 4.Did every Labour Govt spend all their time trying to nationalise everything in the past 50 years? Similarly the SNP will not be bothered about another referendum until there is a demand from the Scottish people. This nonsense suits the Tories and Labour, whipping up nationalistic feelings for short term gain forgetting that by doing so they may be creating the situation they profess to want to avoid.

Why is Rupert Murdoch supporting the SNP and Scottish Independence? What does he expect to gain when Scotland becomes independent?

Nor do I, but I would if I lived in Scotland, I'd be asking myself if I was really comfortable voting for the party supported by this man.

He would end up supporting anyone anyway, it is of little consequence, and the guy is thankfully near death, not that it would stop his heirs, but I imagine they aren't as potent as Rupert himself.

Try to think! Scotland is by all accounts heading for a SNP landslide. Rupert Murdoch wants to sell newspapers. He is only doing what he always does reflecting what the majority of people think.
In England the same paper is very anti-SNP reflecting his support for the Tories and their strategy.

So what you're saying is, one of the world's most influential men is supporting the Tories and the SNP? Nicola Sturgeon said that the SNP were completely opposed to the Tories, they are against each other aren't they?

Fooling yourself if you think Labour wouldn't have done this as well, let's not forget how much more duty would be on fuel either.

Irrelevant - we're discussing coalition tax cuts here and you can't just look at one tax (income) and say 'yay I'm better off thanks to the coalition' if rises in another tax (consumption) has meant that you're worse off.
