GENUINE MUGEN AHOY

I can't believe no one likes this car at all.

It would seem that prospective Jazz buyers would be better off buying a BMW 330i or a Toyota Supra.

I may email Hendy Honda and inform them of my market research and that they should reconsider there pricing.

Genuine question: Why are Mugen parts even available for the Jazz in the first place? Does it come with a much better engine in Japan or something?

Many years ago Honda noticed that the was a large amount of people (particularly in the states) buying run of the mill Civics/Integras/etc and chaving them up and acting like they were NSX's or Preludes or something. Honda then decided if people were going to turn their cars into visual abortions then they would cash in.

Doesn't look bad, wouldn't consider it with that engine or at that price though. Would be epic if they did a turbo model similar to the ralliart colt.

You can get superchargers for them, well the 1.5 engines that were available in some markets, Mugen did one along with these kits.

Mugen tune Honda's and have done so for nearly all models for decades, so why wouldn't they do one for the Jazz which is a popular model.

It's a 2013 car, it's not going to be £500 is it.

No, but there's plenty of 2013 hatchbacks available for a lot less than £10k. So, in other words, you're spending the extra money on a bodykit and wheels on a 89BHP hatchback. Seems completely pointless to me.

There's also hundreds that are around 10k. The going rates for these are between 8-10k, the Mugen kit will add a fair amount more to the value along with dealer premium, so it's price isn't out of the ordinary.

I don't get it. £10k for a generic 89BHP hatchback with a bodykit stuck on it? Literally can't think of a single reason why anyone would buy this.

I remember the days when 90 bhp was considered plenty and you could have great fun with that pitiful a figure(mk2 xr2s were a staple of my teenage years).

that said if someone could add an extra 80-100 horses it would be ridiculous fun

I think the problem is that everything else has got faster. I had an 88BHP astra as my first car, and I'd frequently get out-accelerated off roundabouts by artics: rather embarassing and definitely not fun!

I agree that with 180BHP it would be a lot of fun, and I suspect they'd sell a lot of them. Probably wouldn't be £10k though :(

Looks tatty (suprising for 2k miles) and another main dealer has what looks like the same car for £11k (Which sounds expensive)

So, really, £10k sticker price seems about right for a tidy 2013 Jazz.

It says it's just arrived, so I'd say it's poorly prepped rather than tatty. If you want a Mugen Jazz, I'm sure £10k is a good price - as you say, it's not a huge amount more than a standard one, but it's still more and I can't see the appeal at all. I'd honestly rather drive a standard Jazz

but boys, how many other Mugen Jazzes are there for sale?

NONE.

SUPPLY & DEMAND Y0

I'm sure it'll sell for that reason, I just can't see why anyone would want one :p
