Final practice - Vettel leads Red Bull one-two
Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber showed that things are pretty much back to normal at Red Bull now that the off-throttle blown diffuser ban has been lifted, as they deposed Fernando Alonso and set the two fastest times in this mornings final practice session at the Nurburgring.

They so need to sort in season testing out, just for the benefit for test/new drivers.

If not a full day, one extra FP session where you can run main drivers, or something.

That was harsh by EJ, McLaren have done a Williams yet. They are still competitive. Just in the last 2 and a half years you've had one team clearly a head.
That's not to say they aren't making mistakes. Their strategies are legendary for the wrong reasons. And their car designs haven't be shocking, but correctly quickly for best of the rest position.

Dedregation doesn't matter. I don't really care what that is. What they need is a balance between hard and soft compound. So that 1 extra pitstop for soft more or less strips the time out.
But this requires the stupid two compound usage removing.

2 stops for soft or
1 maybe zero stops for hard.
End total time pretty much identical.

It does to Pirelli when their competing brands have started using it against them in advertising campaigns.

I wasn't talking about that, I'm talking about in race.
Amount of dedregation makes no difference. Be it high or low. What matters is the balance between different compounds. But the use two compound rule kills 95% of tyre strategy regardless of that balance.

pirelli shouldnt let it bother them, they designed a tire to be exactly like what everyone wanted.

its bad that they are going more and more like bridgestones, we will be back to follow the leader before you know it.

Then perhaps they'll sort out the real problem. Can't believe that the 2014 rules aren't restricting aero more than they are. We need more mechanical grip and less aero.

Wasn't expecting that line up. I did however expect webber to beat vettel.
Might lap by Hamilton.

Now we get to see webber and Hamilton to get slow start and Alonso blitzing past vettel.

Nothing about balance. His PR man must have tipped him off.

Just no grip. Que tyres not upto temp.

DIR with al so identical interview to button. Ar felt good this mourning, just no grip in qauli.

Diresta said that he was fairly happy with the car yesterday and that it got worse today. So pretty much identical to button.

It's not an excuse, I said perhaps he didn't push hard enough on the out lap. How's that an excuse?
