Exactly I'm used to the double standards on here now.

There was a massive difference in speeds in the two incidents though, Webber never got his nose in front, Hamilton did. That makes a huge difference for a start, as it completely changes the dynamics of what is an acceptable manoeuvre to defend with.

When you're still in front/level there is nothing wrong with holding your line, if someone wants to leave themselves on the outside in a gap that's going to get smaller, that's their own choice. If you're behind at that point though, you don't really have so much claim to hold the line. That's why Hamilton held his line and Alonso didn't, because Alonso was already behind by that point.
